Why It Matters

'Ōlelo No'eau 1821

Ko koa uka, ko koa kai.

"Those of the upland, those of the shore—our ancestors thrived by exchanging knowledge and resources.
Now, it’s our turn to innovate for a sustainable future."

Mauka2Makai is calling for ʻāina stewards, creatives, technologists, and community members to identify challenges and co-create solutions for a thriving pae ʻāina. We are empowering stewardship of ʻāina and innovative ideas through a two-part impact challenge event series.
