2022 marks Purple Maiʻa’s 8th year of educating and empowering the next generation of culturally grounded, community serving technology makers and problem solvers.
The last two years have been challenging, but we’ve persevered. Now is time to get together, safely, again, after so long apart and celebrate. We take inspiration from ʻōlelo noʻeau #145:
ʻAʻohe ia e loaʻa aku, he ulua kāpapa no ka moana.
He/she cannot be caught for he/she is an ulua of the deep ocean. Said in admiration of a hero who will not give up without a struggle.
So we invite you to join us and celebrate over Grit & Grindz. We’ll have silent auction, raffle prizes, activity for keiki and entertainment by Rickey Kamai; we’ll also showcase stories of resilience from our hāumana across our major programs. Going be good fun.
